Internal Sales Representative Location: Hemmant, Brisbane QLD Reports to: Branch Manager / State Sales Manager Department: Sales Employment type: Full-time, Monday–Friday About Flexistrut Flexistrut Australia is a specialist manufacturer of pipe support products servicing the air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, roofing and stormwater, petro-chem, process piping, and medical gas industries. Operating since 1978, we supply contractors, plumbing wholesalers, and major construction projects across Australia and internationally. Our Brisbane branch services the Queensland market from Hemmant. Role purpose The Internal Sales Representative is the first point of contact for our trade customers — contractors, plumbing and electrical wholesalers, mechanical services companies, and project buyers. You'll handle inbound enquiries, process orders, prepare quotes, and work closely with our external sales team and warehouse to make sure customers get the right product on time, every time. This is a relationship-driven role in a fast-moving industry where short lead times and accurate product knowledge are everything. Key responsibilities Customer service & sales
- Respond to phone, email, and trade counter enquiries from contractors, wholesalers, and project customers
- Process sales orders accurately and confirm delivery requirements
- Prepare quotes for stock items, project supply, and custom fabrication work, following up to convert into orders
- Resolve customer issues — pricing queries, stock availability, delivery, returns — and escalate where needed Product & technical support
- Build and maintain working knowledge of pipe support products and their applications across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection
- Help customers select the right product for the job, including referencing catalogues, load ratings, and finish options (powder-coated, galvanised, stainless)
- Read basic engineering drawings and specifications to quote project supply requirements Internal coordination
- Liaise with warehouse, dispatch, and the Melbourne and interstate branches to coordinate stock transfers and deliveries
- Coordinate with the fabrication team on custom and specialist orders, confirming lead times back to the customer
- Maintain accurate customer records, pricing files, and quote registers in the CRM/ERP Branch operations
- Support trade counter customers attending the Hemmant branch
- Contribute to stock checks, pricing reviews, and account housekeeping as required What we're looking for Essential
- Strong phone manner and written communication — comfortable dealing with tradies, project managers, and procurement officers
- Accurate order entry and quoting skills; competent with ERP/CRM systems and MS Office, and Manual paperwork.
- Solid numeracy — able to work with pricing, discounts, margins, and quantities confidently
- Customer-first attitude with the ability to juggle multiple enquiries during busy trade hours
- Full Australian working rights Highly regarded
- Product knowledge of pipe support, strut/channel systems (Unistrut, Flexistrut, Bunnings, etc.), fasteners, or mechanical services consumables
- Experience quoting project supply or working on tender pricing
- Existing relationships with Queensland contractors or plumbing/electrical wholesalers What we offer
