Junior Accountant (Hemmant)

Selecta Food Group is a family-owned business specializing in wholesale, dedicated to supplying the fine food industry. We are located in Hemmant, QLD (4174). We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for :
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end tasks
- Preparing financial statements and reporting forms (profit and loss, BAS, IAS, balance sheet…)
- Assisting in preparing budget forecasts and financial planning reports
- Cost accounting (investigating cost increases, identifying costs drivers…)
- Providing financial and taxation advice to directors
- Assisting in the preparation and lodgment of company taxation returns
- Monitoring inventory levels to identify discrepancies in financial data
- Cash flow management
- Using accounting software (SAP) to produce reports and implement financial control procedures Skills and qualifications required :
- Academic background in Business, Finance or Accounting (Bachelor’s degree minimum)
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles
- Previous experience (1-2 years) in a similar role
- SAP proficiency required
- Excel proficiency required
- Knowledge of food industry is a plus
- Proficient English
- Solid attention to detail and time management skills Full-time position only. Candidates must be Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents. Salary : $70 000
