Our client is one of Brisbane’s leading suppliers of timber crates and pallets, with over 20 years of experience manufacturing bespoke and standard-sized shipping solutions from their factory in Hemmant
- close to the Port of Brisbane.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Production Assembler to join their busy team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on role assisting with the production, cutting and assembly of timber components, crates, pallets and related products to meet customer specifications and production deadlines.

Please note: Only applicants with timber assembly experience and pneumatic nail gun experience will be considered. No working holiday makers need apply.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, cost-effectively and on time, while maintaining high quality standards.

More specifically, the role will involve:

· Demonstrating and promoting a strong safety-first culture

· Preparing work by studying cut-sheets and product specifications

· Assembling timber crates, pallets and related products

· Cutting timber to required measurements and specifications

· Using pneumatic nail guns, hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently

· Assisting production staff where required

· Resolving assembly issues and adjusting dimensions where necessary

· Completing production, quality and cut-sheet documentation

· Maintaining factory housekeeping and cleanliness standards

· Working productively within a fast-paced team environment To Be Successful You Will Have:

· Previous timber assembly or pallet/crate manufacturing experience

· Experience using pneumatic nail guns

· Experience using hand and power tools

· A solid commitment to workplace safety

· Forklift licence highly desirable

· Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

· Qualified, flexible and helpful attitude

· Good communication skills and presentation
