The role combines remedial massage treatment with Thai therapeutic massage methods in a professional clinic environment. Duties will include:
· Providing hands-on massage treatment to areas such as the neck, shoulders, back, hips and legs to help reduce muscle tightness, ease soreness, improve movement, and support recovery from ongoing strain, overuse, and minor soft tissue discomfort.
· Using techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point work, stretching, myofascial release, and Thai therapeutic pressure techniques to improve flexibility, reduce tightness, support muscle function, and assist clients who experience physical stress from repetitive work, exercise, long hours standing, or poor posture.
· Delivering massage treatments that help clients feel physically looser and more comfortable by improving blood flow, reducing built-up muscle tension, and easing general body stiffness, while still maintaining a treatment-based rather than spa-style approach.
· Identifying problem areas such as tight shoulders, lower back tension, stiff hips, restricted neck movement, and posture-related muscle imbalance, then adjusting the treatment to suit the client’s condition. Providing practical aftercare advice, including simple stretching, posture tips, and guidance on when follow-up treatment may be beneficial.
· Using suitable treatment supports where appropriate, such as oils, balms, towels, heat preparation, Thai stretching-based methods, and pressure-based techniques, to improve treatment effectiveness, client comfort, and soft tissue recovery.
· Speaking with clients before treatment about their pain areas, muscle tightness, daily work demands, previous treatment history, and physical concerns, then recommending suitable stretching exercises, self-care strategies, and straightforward muscle relaxation methods to help them manage symptoms between appointments. Proposed Annual Earnings for the position: This is a full-time position with ordinary working hours of 38 hours per week. The salary for the role will be $75,000 to $80,000 per year, excluding superannuation, depending on the candidate’s qualifications, practical skills, and relevant industry experience.
