Position Details We're looking for a committed and enthusiastic Groundskeeper to join our Palm Lake Resort Yamba team and help keep our resort grounds in pristine condition. This is a full‑time role, working 38 hours per week between 6 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday in a hands‑on capacity to maintain our gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing. Your work will be essential to ensuring the resort grounds are presented to a high standard for our residents and visitors year‑round. Responsibilities
- Hedge & tree trimming
- Mowing, edging & whipper snipping
- Control weeds and pests through the application of herbicides
- Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation
- Planting, mulching, and maintaining flowers and shrubs, including watering and maintenance of irrigation systems
- Oversee the outdoor presentation of all facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance
- Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in valuable working order What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who shares our values and belief that respect, passion, community, impact & safety underpins all the work we do. To excel in this role, you will bring:
- A “C” class driver’s licence
- Relevant gardening experience in a similar role
- Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous
- ACDC chemical licence is advantageous
- Ability to use equipment such as push mower, ride‑on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower
- Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying
