Leading Hand Scaffolder (Yamba)

Big River Scaffolding Solutions is seeking an experienced Scaffolder Leading Hand/Foreman Estimator to join our team in Maclean, NSW. As a fulltime member of our highly skilled construction crew, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day scaffolding operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality projects. What you'll be doing
- Supervising and leading a team of scaffolders to erect, maintain and dismantle scaffolding structures
- Providing on-site guidance and training to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Overseeing the management of materials, equipment and tool inventories
- Liaising with clients, project managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and coordinate project activities
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and proposals for scaffolding services
- Continuously improving processes and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity What we're looking for
- Significant experience as a scaffolder, including at least 5 years in a leading hand or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of scaffolding design, construction and safety standards, as well as relevant industry regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings and other construction documents
- Demonstrated experience in preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for scaffolding services
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
