About the Role Excel and Empowered Minds is hiring casual tutors to support students in small-group sessions (max. 5 per group) at our community-based tutoring service in Yanchep. This is a outstanding role for qualified teachers, experienced education assistants, or education students (3rd or 4th year
- please still apply if you are studying) who want meaningful, consistent work during school terms. We specialise in personalised tutoring for students with learning difficulties, ADHD, autism, and other support needs. Our programs are structured, our training is paid, and our team is supportive. Afternoon shifts run from 3:45pm – 6:15pm, Monday to Friday, with the option of adding an extra hour, making it 3:15
- 6:45pm. We are looking for tutors who can commit to at least two afternoons per week (ideally three or more). What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering structured literacy and numeracy sessions to small groups
- Using evidence-based teaching programs (training provided)
- Completing session notes and basic admin tasks (within paid time)
- Supporting students with patience, calmness, and consistency
- Attending occasional paid training and team meetings What We’re Looking For
- Current Working with Children Check
- Ed Assistant, 3rd/4th year Ed student, or qualified teacher (primary preferred, however, please submit if you are high school trained for 2026 opportunities)
- Available for at least two afternoon shifts per week
- Confident with routines and behaviour support
- Willing to be trained in our teaching methods and follow existing frameworks It’s a Great Fit If You
