Point Pearce Aboriginal School is situated on the northern coastline of Guuranda (Yorke Peninsula) within the Point Pearce Aboriginal Community, the ancestral homeland of the Nharangga people whose connection to this Country spans thousands of generations. The community is located 20 km south-west of Maitland and 183 km west of Adelaide. The school provides education from the Early Years to Year 6 and currently has an enrolment of 15 students, with one child attending the onsite preschool. A defining feature of Point Pearce Aboriginal School is the strong cultural connection between Country, community and learning. The school prides itself on individualised learning programs and meaningful cultural learning opportunities for students, supported by strong partnerships with the local community. The school provides a safe, caring and supportive environment that nurtures students’ skills, knowledge, experiences and identity. We are looking for a passionate Principal to join the school, establish a strong team of leadership and staff and to be responsible for curriculum development, developing teachers' capacity, as well as coordinating the day-to-day management of the school.
