The Role In 2021 theschoolcommenceda partnered initiative with TraditionalOwners to provided middle schoolstudents with extended,residentialprogramacross the Northern Territory,broadening students’ experiences beyond the conventional routinesof family and school life. Based in the township of Jabiru, theKakadu Program Teachers and Specialists are residential educatorswho support the School’s Kakadu Program in the Northern Territorythrough the development and delivery of innovative, place-basedlearning experiences. This includes outdoor education andactivities such as cultural immersion experiences, guided walks,overnight campouts, community activities, and partnership with thelocal school, all designed to foster connection, resilience,intercultural understanding, and experientiallearning. KakaduProgramTeachers/Specialistsare required towork to the needs ofthe students asrequiredin a dynamic workingenvironment.Accommodation and meals onsite are provided.Opportunities for travel and lifestyle are available, around therequirements of the role.

- Observeandmonitorstudent learning,wellbeinganddevelopmentthroughout theprogramwhilemaintainingproactive and reactivecommunication with parents
- Provide opportunities forstudent leadership and responsibility within the program,encouraging a spirit of excellence, responsibility, andcooperation within the group.
- LiaiseandmaintaincommunicationwiththeKakaduProgramLeadershipTeam, on thewell-being of students,staff, andother changes todaily site situations
- Promote positive andprofessional relationships between Caulfield Grammar School andlocal communitiespromotingculturalsensitivitywhen engaging with communitygroups
