- hourly Company Description Pact Recycling, a division of Pact Group, is the largest plastic recycler in the region processing over 30,000 tonnes of plastic waste each year. We collect, sort, clean, and process various types of plastics, including PET, HDPE, PP, and LDPE, and transform them into reusable materials rather than ending up in landfill. Pact Recycling have opportunities for Production Operators to join the Production team at our Wacol recycling plant. There are roles available on the afternoon shift and night shift, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime on weekends too. The role is also responsible for adhering to safety protocols, conducting quality checks, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining accurate production documentation to meet output targets and support continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work workplace.
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery to ensure safe and efficient production processes.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues to minimize downtime.
- Record and maintain accurate production information and logs. Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Minimum of 6 monthsexperience in a similar role or in a manufacturing environment is a preferred
- Solid safety mindset and willing to speak up
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team Qualifications
- Forklift licence is an advantage.
