Production Area Manager (Brisbane City)

- Full Time Location: Brisbane Job Category: Manufacturing & Industrial Join our team as a Production Area Manager reporting to the Operations Manager. You'll lead a medium-sized production team at our Wacol site, focusing on continuous development to strengthen our unit and support site growth. Your role includes ensuring safe, high-quality operations aligned with company values. Educate, coach, and inspire your team to exceed KPIs in employee delivery, operational efficiency, safety, and quality. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage daily production and employee issues, ensuring adherence to schedules and implementing necessary countermeasures. This role requires a strong presence across all shifts and flexibility in scheduling. Experience working in a FMCG/GMP environment processing of salads and ready-made meals. Responsibilities
- Support operations and guide the focus of your team to ensure efficiencies are at a maximum with both people and machinery
- Mentor, develop and lead your team leaders to take charge of daily production
- Create a product quality focus amongst teams that is upheld every day
- Identify and initiate continuous improvements in production processes and procedures
- Provide support to the Operations Manager on the site to deliver production throughputs and casefill
- Foster a robust sense of Work Health and Safety
- Achieve stock control and WIP targets
- Enhance workplace planning and scheduling About You / Qualifications
- Experience in FMCG or Short Shelf-Life processing and manufacturing
- Experience with continuous improvement – advantageous but not essential
- Initiative, positively participate & lead by example
- A collaborative, and ‘can do’ attitude to achieve successful outcomes
- Refined communication skills and ability to build relationships and lead a team
