Medical Receptionist Bunbury

Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team at SWHC.

You will be the welcoming face and voice of Apex Radiology
- supporting patients, referrers, and our clinical teams with high-quality service and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and manage front‐desk responsibilities in a professional and empathetic manner.

Answer telephone enquiries and respond efficiently and sensitively to patient needs.

Schedule patient appointments and determine examination requirements.

Communicate preparation instructions, procedure costs, and billing information clearly to patients.

Register patients, manage paperwork, and handle billing and EFTPOS transactions.

Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of reports.

Perform Medicare and Veterans Affairs claims batching.

Support other administrative tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

Familiarity with patient booking and entry systems preferred but not required (RIS experience highly regarded).

Strong knowledge of medical terminology preferable but not required.

High level of professionalism, empathy, and interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem‐solving abilities.

Accuracy in data entry and confident use of Microsoft Office and practice software.

Cash handling and EFTPOS experience.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Willingness to work across multiple sites if required.
