Job Title: Psychologist Workforce Australia | Employment Services Locations: Fortitude Valley, Chermside and Strathpine Hours: 8:30am–5:00pm Provisional Psychologist: from $82,000 Psychologist: from $87,000 The client is an independent social enterprise that supports people to take practical steps towards real progress. Each year, the client helps more than 20,000 people across NSW, QLD and the ACT build skills, confidence and sustainable employment opportunities. The client is now seeking a Psychologist (or Provisional Psychologist) to join the Employment Services team in Brisbane, supporting participants in the Workforce Australia program. About the Role As a Psychologist, you will play a key role in supporting customers to overcome non‑vocational barriers to employment. Working closely with Coaches and external partners, you will deliver evidence‑based interventions that help people build resilience, confidence and practical strategies to move toward sustainable work. This is a customer‑facing, office‑based role with regular travel between delivery sites. You will report to the Senior Psychologist and work within a collaborative, values‑driven team. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in case conferences with Coaches to understand customer needs and co‑design support strategies.
- Deliver individualised, evidence‑based psychological assessments and counselling interventions.
- Apply a range of psychological approaches including CBT, behavioural and cognitive strategies, and stress management techniques.
- Support customers to identify, address and overcome barriers impacting employability.
- Work collaboratively with referrers, community providers and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer records and case notes.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, contractual obligations and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to a protected, ethical and quality‑focused service delivery environment.
- Undertake other duties consistent with the role as required. What You’ll Bring
- A relevant degree and provisional or full registration with AHPRA.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.
- A genuine passion for supporting people, with a strengths‑based and outcomes‑focused approach.
- High professional integrity and commitment to ethical practice.
- Ability to gather and interpret comprehensive information to support informed decision‑making.
- Flexibility to adapt communication style to suit different individuals and circumstances.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and the ability to work effectively across cultures, socio‑economic backgrounds and life experiences.
- Experience in employment services, community services or recruitment (desirable but not essential). Support, Supervision and Benefits The client is committed to supporting professional development and wellbeing, including:
- 1.5 hours of peer consultation per month
- External professional supervision, with up to $200 per month reimbursed
- Annual AHPRA registration fees covered
- Open to Provisional Psychologists, with structured support to meet AHPRA internship requirements
- Eligibility for RDOs
