**About the role**
**About your team**
The Chief Financial Officer’s Group is responsible for the delivery of fiscal management services across the organisation. The DHA Procurement Team is responsible for supporting DHA in achieving its objectives through sound procurement advice and support via a tailored DHA Procurement Framework delivered through a hybrid procurement model. As the Assistant Director Procurement you will lead and supervise members of the DHA Procurement Team within the Finance and Corporate Support Branch and play a leadership role in the delivery of a high performing procurement function.
**The role is responsible for**:
- Provisioning of strategic procurement advice, including the formulation of complex and strategic procurement initiatives and associated documentation, including but not limited to, procurement plans, request for tenders, risk assessments, negotiation plans and contract agreements
- supervising and mentoring of a small team of established and emerging procurement professionals
- Drafting of key documents such as minutes, board papers, senate estimates briefs and responses to questions on notice
- Identifying and driving the achievement of business and process improvement projects, including the development and delivery of associated training where required
- Contributing (where required) to ensuring DHA meets its reporting obligations, including the Senate Order 13, Modern Slavery Statement (and associated commitments), Indigenous Procurement Policy, and other reporting as required
- Representing DHA at various internal and external forums, including the delivery of presentations where required
