- Hybrid working arrangements About the role Join Our Team as a Purchasing Officer! The Purchasing Officer role is an exciting opportunity within the National Procurement Team, where you'll support the Little Company of Mary (LCM) and its network of entities, including Calvary Health Care Hospitals, Retirement and Aged Care Communities, and Community Care across Australia. In this dynamic position, you'll report to the Procurement Lead for Aged Care and Home Care, taking charge of routine purchasing, managing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with Calvary’s supplier contracts. If you're passionate about procurement and eager to contribute to a mission-driven organisation, we want to hear from you! **Your main duties will include**: Support the Procurement Lead and team in achieving strategic and operational procurement goals Manage purchase orders and ensure efficient purchasing activities across LCOM entities Maintain compliance with Calvary and relevant Government Health policies and procedures Assist in maintaining up-to-date information in contract management and purchasing systems Foster positive supplier relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders on projects Contribute to process improvements and assist in the preparation of tender documents Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and report any issues About you Essential Effective analytical and process improvement skills Effective writing skills as well as robust organisation and time management skills Stakeholder management experience in a flexible, multi-skilled team environment Advanced interpersonal, communication and customer service skills High level computer literacy including MS products and contract management, purchasing and finance systems Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team Desirable Certificate IV, or undertaking in, Administration/Purchasing or equivalent or other relevant depth of experience in procurement.
