Commercial Manager / Contracts & Procurement Lead – Mining & EPCM Projects — Mincore Pty Ltd – Melbourne VIC (Office Based) — Full time or 6–12 Month Contract | Immediate Start About Mincore Mincore is a specialist engineering consultancy delivering studies, EPCM, and project delivery services across the mining, minerals processing, building materials, and heavy industry sectors in Australia and internationally. The Opportunity This is a senior hands‑on role for an experienced commercial professional who can operate across:
- Contract management
- Procurement and subcontract management
- Tender and proposal preparation
- Project commercial support You will work directly with Directors and Project Managers to support both business development and project execution activities, including:
- Reviewing and negotiating client contracts
- Preparing commercial qualifications and risk reviews for proposals
- Managing claims, variations, and contractual correspondence
- Supporting procurement of major equipment and subcontract packages
- Negotiating terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Providing strategic commercial advice across the project lifecycle Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate client, subcontractor, and supplier contracts
- Interpret and apply FIDIC and other standard forms of contract
- Prepare commercial reviews and qualifications for tenders and proposals
- Manage claims, variations, extensions of time, and dispute correspondence
- Oversee RFQs, bid evaluations, purchase orders, and expediting
- Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks
- Support Project Managers and Directors on all commercial matters About You
- 10+ years’ experience in contracts, commercial, and procurement roles
- Background in EPCM, engineering, construction, mining, energy, oil & gas, or major capital projects
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC and international contract forms
- Experience with tendering, proposal preparation, and commercial negotiations
- Practical procurement and subcontract management experience
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
