Service Technician (Melbourne)

Job Title: Service Technician Location: Sunshine West, Melbourne Work Type: Full Time Salary: $40-$50ph + Super Work time and location distribution: 1/3 CentriTech workshop – Sunshine West VIC, 1/3 customer sites in Melbourne and VIC, 1/3 customer sites interstate – mainly QLD / TAS / SA / NSW. Based in Sunshine West (Melbourne), our client is one of the leading engineering companies in high‐speed centrifuge equipment, specialising in manufacturing, repairing and servicing industrial centrifuges at the workshop and client factories. About the role A skilled mechanical fitter to support the workshop team and field service team in the service and repair work of centrifuges and manufacturing of current centrifuges. Dismantling and inspection of centrifuges, repair of wear parts, re‐assembly and testing. Dismantle and assemble centrifuge machinery with manuals, drawings and instructions, including: Dismantling and fitting of bearings and seals Dismantling and re‐assembly of gearboxes Carry out machining and milling activities on machine parts (manual lathe and mill/drill) and/or minor welding repairs on machine parts. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and machinery cross‐sections. Carry out on‐site work at customer installations in Victoria and interstate Australia. About You Trade Certificate (fitter and/or mechanic) Previous experience with rotating equipment maintenance/repairs is favourable but not required. Valid VIC Driver's Licence Forklift Licence Positive physical fitness Full‐time permanent position based in Melbourne North West. Salary negotiable for the right candidate.
