Procurement Manager | Melbourne | Data Centre Project | Immediate Start MMD Recruitment is looking for a senior Procurement Manager to join a major data centre project in Melbourne on an initial 6-month contract, with a likely 6-month extension. This is an immediate start role for someone who can come in, take control, and lead procurement and tendering activity from end to end. To be considered, you must have 10+ years of procurement experience and robust local Australian project experience. We are looking for someone who has worked across major construction, infrastructure, or data centre projects locally and understands how to manage procurement in an Australian project workplace. What you'll be doing Leading tenders end to end from strategy, market engagement, and package development through to evaluation, negotiation. Managing procurement across key project packages on a major data centre build. Working closely with project and commercial teams to drive procurement outcomes and meet programme requirements. Preparing tender documentation, managing clarifications, coordinating assessments, and supporting contract award. Driving supplier engagement and commercial negotiations. What we need Minimum 10 years’ procurement experience. Proven ability to run tenders end to end on major projects. Previous data centre, construction, or infrastructure experience. Solid local Australian project experience is essential. Ability to work autonomously, manage stakeholders, and hit the ground running. Immediate availability or short notice preferred.
