About The Role We are seeking an experienced Purchasing & Catalogue Lead to join our Strategic Procurement & Supplier Relations team. This role is responsible for leading a team of Procurement Buyers and ensuring the efficient, compliant and timely delivery of purchasing and catalogue services across Lifeblood. You will act as a key link between the business and suppliers, supporting requisitioners to follow the best process to access the right goods, at the right time, at the right price. Strong people leadership is central to this role. You will coach, develop and inspire your team, driving continuous improvement and change initiatives across purchasing and catalogue operations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end purchasing and catalogue operations, including requisition to purchase order and invoicing processes
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of catalogue and item master data within the ERP system
- Oversee off‑catalogue sourcing and spot buying activities
- Maintain strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships
- Drive compliance with policies, delegations and safety requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements, standard operating procedures, service levels and coaching / training for internal stakeholders
- Provide reporting, insights and recommendations to support operational decision‑making
- Salary $90-115k + super + salary packaging. Melbourne location preferred with hybrid working What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience as a people leader, including supervision, coaching and performance management
- Strong knowledge of P2P processes including purchasing, credit cards, accounts payable and receivable
- Experience working with ERP materials management systems; such as Oracle Fusion
- Robust analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capability
- Proven customer service mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities whilst ensuring a great experience for our stakeholders
