THE ROLE Reporting to the General Manager – Leasing & Distribution, the Leasing & Sales Consultant is responsible for lead conversion and booking sales success across Journal’s portfolio. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families, guiding them from initial enquiry through to confirmed booking. This role goes beyond transactional reservations—you’ll deliver personalised consultations, conduct property tours, and actively convert enquiries into bookings while delivering a high-quality customer experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the first point of contact for new build pre-opening sales, new sales and waitlist management for existing builds.
- Proactively nurture and convert leads into confirmed bookings.
- Manage and respond to enquiries from prospective students and parents across international markets (China, SEA, Middle East). Build trust with both students and parents, understanding cultural expectations and decision-making dynamics
- Manage leads from multiple sources (for example website, WeChat, Insta) and maintain accurate and timely updates within CRM and booking system.
- Deliver tailored consultations via email, WhatsApp, WeChat, phone, video, and in person.
- Conduct high-quality property tours, presenting the residence as a premium lifestyle offering. Align closely with Operations to ensure tour management is operationally supported.
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns targeting international audiences
- Provide market feedback and insights to support occupancy and pricing strategies Systems, Reporting & Operational Enablement
- Maintain clean, reliable data and practices across Salesforce and StarRez.
- Deliver conversion insights and automated sales reporting to improve visibility and forecasting accuracy. Compliance
- Adhere to all Journal policies and processes, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures. About you You’re a people person who knows how to turn conversations into connections and create memorable customer experiences. You may come from PBSA, leasing, hospitality, sales, or premium customer service, and you thrive in rapid-paced environments where no two days look the same. You’re confident engaging with students and families from diverse backgrounds, can build trust quickly, and know how to guide people through decisions with care and confidence. You’re commercially minded, organised, and enjoy the challenge of meeting targets and uncovering opportunities. You’re comfortable managing enquiries across multiple channels, presenting in person or virtually, and navigating CRM systems (bonus points if you’ve used Salesforce or StarRez).
