With a proud 40‑year history and a reputation for delivering civil and mining projects of the highest calibre, A1 Earthworx is looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator to help shape our next chapter. This role is an exciting opportunity to play a leading part in a business that’s expanding rapidly across the Central West, where your decisions and skills will directly influence safety outcomes and project success. The Role Based in Mudgee, this is a hands‑on, field‑driven position working closely with general managers, project managers, and engineers across a diverse range of sites. You’ll be the driving force behind safety excellence, developing and implementing WHSE systems, overseeing audits and risk assessments, and leading the cultural shift toward continuous improvement. Your work will take you on the road through regional NSW, ensuring our teams are supported in maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor WHSE programs and initiatives.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
- Deliver WHSE training, toolbox talks, and safety inductions.
- Investigate incidents and champion continuous improvement.
- Lead internal audits and prepare client submissions for major projects.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to embed proactive safety practices across all operations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain accurate safety documentation. What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications in Work Health and Safety and Environmental or a related discipline.
- Experience within civil, mining, or construction industries, ideally on major project work.
- Strong understanding of WHSE legislation, risk management, and auditing practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a knack for building trust across teams.
- ICAM training (or equivalent) and commitment to a proactive, zero‑harm culture.
