Application Modernisation Program (AMP) – Senior Program Manager UWA is embarking on a bold transformation journey, backed by significant investment in Information Technology to accelerate its strategic ambitions. The AMP is an enduring, multi‑year programme that provides dedicated funding and delivery capability to remediate, modernise, and de‑risk critical application systems. Key Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for scope, schedule, budget, benefits, risks, and dependencies across the programme
- Define and maintain a coherent annual roadmap of initiatives including prioritisation, sequencing, and dependencies
- Establish and maintain program governance, controls, and reporting aligned to Uni IT delivery frameworks
- Financial management including forecasting, accruals, cost controls, and budget change management
- Manage dependencies and risks across parallel delivery streams and provide transparent, evidence‑based reporting to executive and governance forums
- Work in close partnership with Technical System Owners and their teams, ensuring priorities are well understood, scoped, planned, delivered and transitioned to operations with benefits realised Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as STEM, Business, or equivalent professional experience
- Formal program or project management certification (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, PMP) or equivalent experience applying structured delivery frameworks and portfolio management practices
- Proven track record delivering large, complex digital or application‑focused programmes, ideally over 5–10 years, including governance, financial management and benefits realisation
- Demonstrated experience managing multi‑stream delivery portfolios with shared specialist resources
- Strong financial management capability, including forecasting, cost control and executive reporting Desirable
- Experience in higher education or large, complex public‑sector environments
- Experience delivering application modernisation, remediation or legacy risk‑reduction programmes
- Familiarity with portfolio management frameworks and PPM tools Note: Employment checks will include information on gender‑based violence, sexual harassment and related misconduct to meet legal obligations.
