Fabrication Operations Manager (Western Australia)

Role Based at our Neerabup manufacturing facility, the Fabrication Operations Manager will be responsible for the day‐to‐day leadership and operational management of the fabrication workshop, ensuring fabrication activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational, quality and customer requirements. Reporting to the Fabrication & Estimation Manager, this role will provide hands‐on operational leadership across workshop activities, supporting the coordination of labour, workflow, production priorities, quality performance and workplace safety across the fabrication function. This highly visible leadership role requires a strong operational background, the ability to lead teams in a rapid‐paced manufacturing environment, and the capability to drive accountability, performance and continuous improvement throughout the workshop. Key Responsibilities Lead the day‐to‐day operations of the fabrication workshop, ensuring production targets, delivery commitments and operational priorities are achieved. Coordinate labour, workflow, production schedules and workshop resources across fabrication activities. Lead and support the Fabrication Supervisor, Leading Hands and fabrication workforce through clear leadership and accountability. Monitor operational performance, labour utilisation, workflow bottlenecks, overtime and workshop productivity. Ensure fabrication activities are completed in accordance with company quality standards, drawings, specifications and customer requirements. Drive workplace health and safety compliance, hazard management and safe work practices throughout fabrication operations. Work closely with Estimation, Sales, Production, Maintenance and Logistics teams to support operational performance and customer delivery outcomes. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, workflow, quality and operational performance. Investigate operational issues, quality concerns and workshop challenges, implementing corrective actions where required. Promote a professional, accountable and team‐focused workshop culture. About You Hands‐on operational leader with strong fabrication or manufacturing experience and the ability to manage teams, workflow and workshop performance in a demanding production environment. Demonstrated experience in a fabrication, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. Proven leadership experience managing workshop teams, supervisors or leading hands. Strong operational and production coordination capability. Sound understanding of fabrication processes, workflow management and workshop operations. Experience managing workplace health and safety and quality compliance within a manufacturing environment. Strong communication, leadership and problem‐solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and operational functions. A proactive, organised and solutions‐focused approach.
