Responsibilities

Due to continued growth, provide leadership, guidance and mentoring across multiple sites in WA & NT. Travel to various sites to provide guidance and mentorship to site-based maintenance teams across WA & NT via presentations and hands-on demonstrations on CAT Mobile Plant Equipment – loaders, dozers, graders, dump trucks and more.

Conduct fault-finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Carry out scheduled servicing and inspections to proactively detect and address wear or faults

Strip down and rebuild major components of heavy equipment as required

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and hydraulic assemblies

Operate diagnostic software and tools to efficiently identify and resolve issues

Record all service, repair, and maintenance activities with accuracy and attention to detail

Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards during daily operations

Work closely with other technicians to complete complex tasks and major overhauls

About You / Qualifications

Australian recognised trade certificate with a minimum 5 years post-trade experience

10+ years industry experience

Certificate III in heavy-duty diesel equipment (or equivalent)

Solid track record maintaining CAT heavy earthmoving equipment – excavators, trucks, dozers, loaders, graders

Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills

Ability to communicate effectively and present information clearly

High level of computer literacy (highly regarded)

Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening

Ability to meet security requirements (National Police Clearance)
