Pipe Fitter – Major Construction Project | FIFO Karratha | Fixed Term Tecside is seeking experienced, trade-qualified Pipe Fitters for a major construction project in Karratha, WA. This is a site-based industrial Pipe Fitter role. We are only looking for candidates with genuine pipe fabrication and installation experience on site across major industrial, LNG, oil and gas, refinery, process plant or mining construction projects. Workshop-only experience will not be successful. Perth-based applicants only. We are not looking for:
- Mechanical Fitters with limited piping exposure
- workshop-only fabricators
- maintenance-only flange candidates
- plumbers without strong industrial pipefitting experience The Opportunity
- FIFO from Perth only
- 19:8 roster
- Full-time fixed-term contract
- Camp and meals provided
- Flights provided from Perth only at this stage
- Strong earning potential on a major WA construction project
- Opportunity to join a structured project workplace with a solid pipeline of work To be considered, you must be:
- currently based in Perth, WA
- available to mobilise from Perth
- ready to work FIFO on a fixed-term roster We are looking for Pipe Fitters with proven site-based experience in:
- fabrication and installation of pipework on major industrial project sites
- working across a range of pipe sizes
- associated piping components including flanges, valves, supports and fittings
- cutting, beveling, fitting and aligning pipe to specification
- reading and working from isometric drawings
- fit-up and preparation of pipework for welding and installation
- working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and ideally more complex / exotic materials Preferred background Candidates will be highly regarded if they have experience on:
- LNG projects
- Oil and Gas projects
- Refinery or process plant construction
- Major mining construction projects
- Brownfields scopes where pipefitting was a core part of the role Suitable candidates will hold:
- Fabrication trade certificate or equivalent relevant trade qualification
- White Card
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to pass medical and site onboarding requirements
- FIFO readiness from Perth Important – please do not apply if:
- your experience is mainly Mechanical Fitting rather than Pipe Fitting
- your experience is mainly workshop fabrication with no strong site installation history
- your piping experience is limited to maintenance-only flange work
- your background is primarily plumbing rather than industrial pipefitting To be shortlisted, your CV should clearly show:
