Bricklaying Supervisor / Foreman (Perth)

EMCG Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Bricklaying Supervisor / Foreman to oversee masonry works on a major construction project in Perth. This is a site-based role responsible for supervising bricklaying crews, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all project requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate a team of 10+ bricklayers and apprentices on site.
- Set out masonry works in accordance with drawings and project requirements.
- Set up bricklaying runs and manage daily work activities.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme.
- Conduct quality inspections and maintain high workmanship standards.
- Ensure masonry works comply with:
- Australian Standard AS 3700 – Masonry Structures
- Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings
- Project specifications and engineering requirements
- Identify and rectify defects and non-conforming work.
- Mentor, train, and develop apprentices and junior tradespeople.
- Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Liaise with builders, site supervisors, engineers, and project management teams. Skills & Experience
- Trade qualification in Bricklaying/Blocklaying.
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Supervisor, or Foreman.
- Strong knowledge of masonry construction methods and quality requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering details, and project specifications.
- Sound understanding of Australian Standards relevant to masonry construction.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. What We Offer
