EC Realty Pty Ltd TA Natural Comfort are based in Hawthorn, VIC. Company specialise in manufacturing natural latex beddings, mattresses and pillows. Currently, there is a vacancy for a full-time Production Manager with right skills and experience to join their team. About the Role We are a manufacturing company seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimise our production operations. In this role, you will determine, implement and monitor production strategies, policies and plans across our manufacturing facility, ensuring finished goods meet quality benchmarks, are delivered on schedule, and are produced in a safe and cost-effective setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Determine, implement, and monitor production strategies, policies and plans across all manufacturing operations, ensuring consistent output quality and timely delivery.
- Plan production activities in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available, and labour requirements across cutting, filling, sewing, and finishing workstations.
- Control the operation of production plant and quality procedures through maintenance scheduling, designation of operating hours, and supply of parts and tools for all machinery.
- Monitor production output and costs, adjusting processes and resource allocation to minimise material wastage, reduce rework, and keep manufacturing costs within budget.
- Inform other managers about production matters including order progress, capacity constraints, and issues affecting supply or delivery timelines.
- Oversee the acquisition and installation of new plant and equipment to support production capacity and capability growth.
- Direct research into production methods and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput across the production floor.
- Control the preparation of production records and reports, ensuring accurate and timely data on output, quality metrics, labour utilisation, and materials consumption.
- Co-ordinate the implementation of WHS requirements in accordance with Work Health & Safety legislation, including risk assessments, inductions, and toolbox talks.
- Direct staff activities and monitor performance across machinist, filler, and quality checker roles, providing ongoing coaching and development. Qualifications Required Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification; or
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. Experience Required Applicants must have at least one year of relevant experience in the related field of production or manufacturing management.
