We're looking for a passionate, detail‑oriented Bike Mechanic, or as we call it, Production Technician who thrive on solving problems, caring for bikes, and ensuring every customer leaves ready to ride. About the Role As a Production Technician, you’ll play a critical role in our store’s success—ensuring every bike that leaves the shop is safe, tuned, and ready to deliver an exceptional ride. You’ll also get hands‑on with the newest Trek models before anyone else and build trust with customers who rely on your skills to keep their bikes in top shape. This position is perfect for someone who’s mechanically inclined, values precision, and loves helping others. You’ll be the Lead Technician in the shop and responsible for completing more than 50% of total service work. The team will count on you for complex repairs and high‑level technical support. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair bikes efficiently with a focus on speed, accuracy, and quality.
- Perform bike builds and pre‑assemblies according to Trek standards.
- Lead the service area with professionalism and high standards of organization and cleanliness.
- Deliver best‑in‑class hospitality by helping customers understand service options and timelines.
- Maintain Trek University Guide status through ongoing training and certification.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager and team to complete daily tasks and support overall shop operations.
- Ensure consistent communication and leadership within the service department. Qualifications
- Positive, self‑motivated, and team‑first attitude.
- Outstanding communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Robust attention to detail and pride in your craftsmanship.
- Genuine passion for cycling and helping others enjoy the ride.
- Eagerness to continually learn about new technologies and service techniques.
- Ability to take ownership and lead by example in the workshop. Additional Responsibilities
- Meet Trek’s uniform and presentation standards.
- Keep service area clean, organized, and efficient.
- Execute duties as directed by the Store Manager or Service Manager.
- Maintain up‑to‑date Trek University certifications.
