About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our organisation as a Production Planner, full time, based in Rockhampton, QLD. In the short term, this role will require travel to Gladstone, QLD to support operational needs. Following this initial period, the position will be based exclusively in Rockhampton. This role will support dedicated wagon maintenance works. As part of the planning team, you will play a key role in developing, managing, and optimising work schedules to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of maintenance services. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new and exciting phase of growth for our business, while contributing to the success of a key maintenance facility in the region. This role will report to the Service Delivery Manager and collaborate closely with operational staff. Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example in the implementation and improvement of the workplace safety culture
- Make regular contact with the customer and provide updates in a timely manner
- Identify critical gaps in service capabilities and elevate appropriately
- Creation and management of Work Orders
- Management of project documentation & uploading to customer database
- Analysing labour hours on jobs Compilation of costing to create Invoices to customers
- Raise Purchase Requisitons for costs related to the job
- Interpret & track parts usage on the job Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Strong technical and industry knowledge relevant to production planning and maintenance operations
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Solid attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences
- Trade qualification in a related field
- Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
