The Role
The Events Manager is an integral member of the Experience Team and is responsible for managing and delivering the advantages of NGS Super sponsorship agreements with industry organisations and unions. This 12-month maternity leave position includes maintaining a register of agreements and benefits, supporting the smooth running of events and working to ensure that NGS receives and delivers the event components of individual agreements.
In addition to events aligned with our sponsorship agreement, this role is to be responsible for organising and delivering events that support NGS members and staff and for ensuring branded collateral including banners, merchandise and other print materials are kept up to date and restocked as required.
**Key focus areas include**:
- At least 5 years’ experience working in an events role.
- Demonstrated experience relevant to the responsibilities of the position.
- Well-developed interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Solid organisational skills including ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Good time management with the ability to be flexible and responsive to changing requirements.
- Ability to coordinate complex projects with multiple deadlines and budgets, including proven time management skills.
- Experience working with creative agencies.
You have
- Manage sponsorships, conference, and event arrangements, including:
- Managing the events associated with NGS sponsorship agreements including managing logistics, travel, exhibition stands, branding and promotional items
- Maintain the register of sponsorship agreements, events calendar and evaluations of activity and value delivered to the business
- Manage the sponsorship budgets and deliver regular reports.
- Manage the trade advertising calendar including delivering all assets for newsletters, social media and publications.
- Responsibility for the end-to-end organisation of staff conferences and the Annual Member Meeting with assistance from other internal stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain national merchandise.
- Onsite attendance and management of events as required.
Desirable
- Some understanding of the superannuation industry, in particular industry super.
- Experience in integrated marketing, including but not limited to direct marketing, digital, campaigns, sponsorship and advertising.
