About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager to play a leadership role in the Marketing and Communications team’s proactive planning and delivery of the firm’s go‑to‑market activities, particularly for areas of strategic focus. This full‑time, fixed‑term parental leave contract commences in early July 2026 for a 12‑month period and is based in Sydney. Key Priorities
- Nurture, lead and manage a high‑performing service team advising a portfolio of BDO’s national business areas and Sydney office priorities.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in the creation, approval and distribution of content.
- Develop and deliver the go‑to‑market plans for a range of portfolio areas across the firm, ensuring alignment to BDO’s national strategy.
- Proactively identify, deliver and report on communication campaigns and opportunities for portfolio areas.
- Collaborate and engage directly with other Clients & Markets functional areas, including Client Experience and Business Development, to ensure successful delivery aligned to the client journey.
- Develop and maintain solid stakeholder relationships, including with BDO leaders and relevant teams across the firm – locally and nationally.
- Provide on‑the‑ground communication support for the Sydney Executive Leadership Team to support the local firm strategy and office priorities. About You
- Demonstrated experience in marketing or communications, ideally within professional services or complex corporate organisations.
- Strong stakeholder management capability, with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders and Partners in complex environments.
- Excellent people management ability and experience, including coaching, capability uplift and developing talent within the team.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications or marketing, or a related discipline. Benefits
