Description
Global marketing and engagement agency, MCI, is seeking a motivated, experienced Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team in Sydney. MCI designs human-centric solutions that unleash the power of people to deliver innovation and growth for our clients. Our offering includes live and virtual events, strategic and digital communications, consulting and community solutions. In Australia, we combine the scale and opportunity of a global agency with a strong local culture built on collaboration, trust and genuine care for our people. We deliver ambitious, well‑run work — and we structure our projects thoughtfully to support sustainable workloads. We value teamwork over heroics, and we care just as much about how we deliver as what we deliver. The Opportunity
- As a Project Manager within our Project Delivery team, you’ll play a key role in delivering corporate events end-to-end — from early concept through to on‑site delivery and post-event wrap
- You’ll work closely with colleagues, suppliers and clients in a team that is fast‑moving, supportive and genuinely human (with room for a laugh along the way)
- Deliver end-to-end project management of live events and virtual experiences
- Lead internal and external stakeholder management
- Create, manage, track and reconcile domestic and international budgets
- Lead and mentor Project Coordinators and Assistants
- Own key project documentation (budgets, timelines, presentations, run sheets, risk/issue logs, etc.)
- Partner with Client Services and Design teams to support the ideation and development of pitches and proposals This is a highly client-facing role, so you’ll enjoy building strong relationships and communicating with confidence. You’ll be passionate about designing event experiences and guiding clients through an engaging, well‑managed end-to-end process. You’ll add accountability, sound judgement and a commitment to quality across the full event lifecycle. What You’ll Bring We’re looking for someone who already has strong foundations in agency-side delivery and is ready to grow.
- 5+ years’ experience designing and delivering corporate events, ideally within an agency environment so you can hit the ground running
- End-to-end event project management experience (planning, budgets, suppliers, on‑site delivery and post-event wrap)
- Solid client communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly across budgets, timelines and documentation
- Confidence working collaboratively with creative and strategic teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly in a fast‑paced environment
- Proven experience delivering virtual and hybrid events
- A creative, curious and innovative mindset — always looking to push beyond the ordinary
- Ability to lead a team and work independently on smaller projects
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, flag risks early and ask for support when needed
- A positive, can‑do attitude and genuine passion for delivering great work Why join MCI Australia? You’ll be part of an organisation that genuinely invests in its people and supports long‑term careers. Culture & People
- A fun, ambitious culture — we take our work seriously, but not ourselves
- An open-minded, progressive organisation that encourages creativity, innovation and new ideas
- A diverse, inclusive and people-focused workplace, collaborating with teams across the globe
- Strong values that promote collaboration, respect and opportunity
- Access to the MCI Institute, accredited at Gold Standard level by the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI), reflecting best‑in‑class global learning practice
- Structured career pathways supported by performance modules, benchmarks and development planning
- Continuous learning opportunities through online, in‑person and global programs, including the MCI Global Business Academy
- Global mentoring through the MCI Global Mentor Programs
