Description
BTQ is a global leader in quantum technology dedicated to enhancing security for mission- critical networks. Operating at the intersection of scientific research and practical applications, BTQ addresses rising cybersecurity challenges by integrating state-of-the-art quantum solutions. By joining BTQ, you will be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of secure communications Role Description This is a full-time or part-time hybrid role based in Sydney, NSW, with flexibility for some work- from-home arrangements. You will develop, analyse, and implement cryptographic algorithms, design secure authentication protocols, and contribute to quantum-resilient cryptosystems — working closely with a team of experts across interdisciplinary projects. A key focus of this role is developing quantum cryptographic software as part of BTQ's quantum offense solutions, with particular attention to efficient algorithms designed to run on application-specific neutral atom quantum computers. You will assess and advance the security of one-shot signature schemes under both classical and quantum attack models, and contribute to post-quantum secure communication protocols. What you’ll do
- Develop and implement quantum cryptographic software targeting neutral atom quantum computing architectures
- Design and analyse cryptographic algorithms, secure authentication protocols, and quantum-resilient cryptosystems
- Analyse the cryptographic security of local quantum cryptography protocols (quantum processors + classical communication channels)
- Assess the security of one-shot signature implementations against classical and quantum adversaries
- Design quantum algorithms and post-quantum secure classical communication protocols to augment network security
- Conduct research to address emerging challenges in cryptography and quantum computing
- Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and communicate findings clearly to the BTQ AU group and broader BTQ Technologies technical team What we’re looking for
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in quantum computing, cryptography, mathematics, physics, or a closely related field
- Proficiency in cryptography and cryptanalysis, with a strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms and their practical applications
- Experience with quantum computing concepts and algorithms
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment and communicate complex technical results clearly
- Right to work in Australia Nice to have
- Experience with NIST post-quantum standardisation candidates
- Prior work in quantum-secure protocol design or formal security proofs
- Familiarity with quantum emulation software
- Familiarity with one-shot signatures or related quantum cryptographic primitives #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/3rrghw
