Position Overview We are expanding and looking for passionate hospitality professionals to join our growing team across multiple Sydney venues, including Le Montage at Lilyfield. We are currently hiring for the following full‑time permanent positions that report directly to the Venue Manager:
- Event Operations Manager
- Functions Manager Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, setup, coordination, and execution of all events, including weddings, formals, and corporate functions at the Le Montage venue.
- Recruit, train, and roster waitstaff, ensuring high standards of service and performance.
- Manage all aspects of venue operations, including table settings, bonbonnière placement, décor, and styling in line with event schedules and client expectations.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and event coordination teams to ensure each function is executed seamlessly.
- Prepare and manage event budgets, control costs, and report on financial performance.
- Operate on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event demands. Qualifications
- Full Australian working rights.
- Current RSA license; a NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Manager’s Licence is highly desirable or required depending on responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience in hospitality, such as waiter, bartender, or barista, with proven ability to operate efficiently in fast‑paced service environments.
- Previous experience in functions, banquets, or event supervision (highly regarded).
- Strong organisational, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership experience and capacity to manage teams under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during events. Benefits and Career Growth
