As an Audio Editor at Equity Mates Media, you’re responsible for taking our podcast production to the next level. You’ll own the technical execution of our shows
- from recording and editing to quality control and publishing
- ensuring every episode meets the highest production standards. You will be in regular contact with the highly-engaged Equity Mates community and will be responsible for surfacing their questions and ideas across our content. - Oversee the setup and recording of podcast sessions, ensuring smooth operation and high-quality audio capture.
- Edit, mix, and master episodes with professional sound quality, pacing, and flow.
- Incorporate intros, outros, music beds, ad spots, transitions and community contributions as needed.
- Maintain consistent audio quality across episodes and shows.
- Manage the full post-production workflow and ensure timely delivery of episodes.
- Write, format, and publish show notes that clearly explain the episode theme and key takeaways.
- Tag and upload all metadata, links, guest information and assets to the Acast hosting platform and website.
- Ensure correct scheduling and alignment with the publishing calendar.
- Coordinate with hosts, guests, and internal teams to align on episode logistics and timelines, booking in guests/community members and preparing the appropriate content aligned with the guest.
- Monitor listener feedback to improve future episode experience.
- Use audience insights and feedback to inform future episodes and content strategy.
- Stay across podcast trends and recommend ways to improve production and engagement. Skills & Experience:
- Experience producing podcasts or audio content from concept to delivery.
- Skilled in audio editing tools (e.g. Adobe Audition, Audacity, or similar).
- Strong storytelling instincts and an eye (and ear) for detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Passionate about media, finance, and making complex topics accessible and engaging.
