Sales Representative – NSW / Sydney & Canberra Territory Cheeky Foods is looking for a motivated, energetic and commercially minded Sales Representative to join our growing team and support our expansion across Current South Wales, including the Sydney and Canberra areas. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, working with customers face-to-face, identifying new business opportunities and being part of a rapid-growing food import and distribution business. About Cheeky Foods Cheeky Foods is an established and fast-growing importer and distributor of Latin American food products in Australia. We supply a wide range of frozen, dry and specialty food products to supermarkets, independent retailers, restaurants, cafés, delis, convenience stores and food service customers across the country. With strong growth, expanding product ranges and an increasing national presence, we are looking for the right person to help us continue developing our NSW market. About the Role As our Sales Representative – NSW, you will be the key point of contact between Cheeky Foods and our customers across your territory. You will be responsible for growing sales, developing recent business, supporting existing customers and promoting our product range in a professional and commercially effective way. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, meeting customers, closing sales and taking ownership of their territory. Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and growing existing customer accounts across the NSW / Sydney and Canberra territory.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Visiting customers regularly and building strong long-term relationships.
- Presenting and promoting Cheeky Foods products to customers.
- Taking orders, preparing quotes and negotiating pricing and trading terms where required.
- Supporting customers with product information, ordering processes, pricing, availability and general enquiries.
- Training customers on how to place orders through our B2B platforms.
- Monitoring store presentation, stock rotation, pricing labels and product displays.
- Supporting product demonstrations, sampling campaigns and promotional activities.
- Working closely with the warehouse, operations, marketing and management teams.
- Maintaining accurate customer information and activity records.
- Providing market feedback, competitor insights and sales reports to management.
- Achieving agreed sales targets and contributing to the continued growth of the business. About You We are looking for someone who is confident, organised, proactive and commercially driven. The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in sales, account management or customer service.
- Experience in food distribution, FMCG, retail, grocery, hospitality or food service would be highly regarded.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A positive, professional and customer-focused approach.
- The ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
- Good attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
- Confidence in cold calling, networking and generating new leads.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- A willingness to learn about our products, customers and market.
