Humphris Nursery - Sales Administration (Melbourne)

Humphris Nursery, one of Australia’s leading horticultural businesses, is seeking a motivated and organised Sales Administrator to join our dynamic sales team. This role plays a central part in supporting our sales operations. As a key team member, you will thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy a varied administrative role. Your primary responsibility will be managing and coordinating sales order processes, providing customer support to our retail nursery customers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all transactions. Success in this position requires strong organisational and time‑management skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Account Sales Managers with daily tasks
- Handling forward orders – contacting customers when stock is ready
- Assisting customers when they visit site.
- Processing and entering customer sales orders in system
- Responding to customer enquiries regarding products, pricing, and availability
- Performing general data entry tasks
- Handling payments cash or credit card of orders
- Answering and directing phone calls and emails
- Maintaining and updating customer and sales records About You
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid time management and planning abilities
- A proactive attitude with a high level of initiative and accountability
